How many times has it been said "It's funny because it's true!"? More than you can count.

Yet nobody ever says "It's funny because you just pulled it out of your ass" and yet that's exactly how conservative comedy operates, because they simply don't live in reality.

Yeah, it's weird. Just because Burr, Chappelle and yes, even "alt-right icon" Joe Rogan make fun of "wokeness" doesn't mean they're conservatives. The rest of their opinions still tend to be solidly left-leaning.

Pretty much all words censored far right conservatives with c*** being the only one that's also not liked by the left because it's a sexist slur.

I'm far more likely to get thrown out of a church walking around saying "shit, piss, fuck" than I am a DSA convention.

Among those words you can't say? You won't find that one word conservatives are always complaining about that they can't say. No gay slurs either. It's pretty clear Carlin himself also thought you shouldn't say those words not because of overly emotional SJWs but because they actually attack real marginalized communities. "Shit, piss, fuck" doesn't hurt anyone.

If I remember correctly his beef on euphemisms was related to when they are specifically used to weaken the impact of certain words or phrases. Specifically he mentions the term "Shell Shock" and it's journey from that to "battle fatigue" then "operation exhaustion" to "post traumatic stress disorder".

There are a ton of funny comedians who aren't super vulgar like many comedians are today. Rodney Dangerfield, Jerry Seinfeld, Laurel and Hardy, the Three Stooges, etc.

Having a shtick that relies on political/partisan jokes generally isn't funny.

Political jokes can be very funny. Stephen Colbert's character on Comedy Central was almost always hilarious. The whole saga of him creating a real Super PAC was great. It is amazing how Colbert was one of the funniest people when he was on Comedy Centeral, but when he moved to network TV he became mediocre at best.

I'm not saying political humor can never be funny, but it's not funny when all someone has to offer is partisan jokes.

Look at the modern late night talk show hosts to see how bad it can be. Those are especially sad now because they don't have a studio audience to back them up. "Guess what those snowflake liberals did" is the equivalent of "Guess what Trump did." All of it is trash.
