I think the most you'll find are comedians that tell jokes that would be considered conservative. People like Bill Burr, Daniel Tosh, Ricky Gervais, Ron White, etc.

"Conservative comedy" has always been a bit of a weird label because most people don't count conservative jokes from comedians like those above. It's basically just a process of filtering out anybody funny until the only people left are cringe-worthy and then saying that those are conservative comedians.

This is perhaps the biggest difference between 'conservative' comedy and regular comedy.

It's always some old white guy going on about women and minorities and LGBTs and the "kids today" and stuff like that. It's less comedy and more like your cranky grandpa going on about some thing or other that he just doesn't understand. It's less comedy and more reveling in ignorance.

True comedy is sharp and witty, while 'conservative' comedy is incoherent ramblings.

Funny is subjective, but the people on Red Eye and Steven Crowder could be considered well known? Outside of them I don't think I've seen a comedian do straight 'conservative' comedy. Even the Blue Collar guys didn't have much if any political stuff if their sets.

i don't know if he does stand up anymore but tim allen. also if you are a fan of bill burr google the philadelphia incident . tldr he was with a group of comedians on a tour and when they hit philly the crowd was just booing everybody so when bill burr's turn came he didn't even do his bit, he just started insulting the crowd even wishing death and cancer on them and by the end of the show they started cheering for him lol

By the way as a side note for Nick Di Paolo, if you remember Mitch Hedberg's joke about his neighbor who would knock on the wall when he played loud music, and Mitch would be like "Go to the door, I can't open the wall," that neighbor was Di Paolo, the joke was actually about him when they were apartment neighbors in LA.

I mean they shit on themselves, Republicans, religious groups, the ultra-rich and so on, but the fact that theyre also willing to criticize and question the Left makes them alt-right to many. They are successful comedians who punch across the board, not just in one direction.

Neither of those 3 are conservative nor do they perform conservative comedy lol I do think it is funny that people identify Burr and Rogan with right wing politics solely based off of their stereotypical "toxic masculinity" schtick. Less so Rogan because his podcast but more so his stand up. I think it's hysterical that people identify Carlin as right wing though.

Conservatives think they're in a "culture war," and this is what they're coming with: an article about an idea for a knockoff of a 43-year-old show.

What's great about that robotic, uncreative idea is that it's not even original. In 2007, Fox News tried to do their own version of SNL's Weekend Update, and it went exactly the way you'd expect. The jokes on The 1/2 Hour News Hour ranged from "incompetent" to "propaganda with a laugh track."

Yeah, it's weird. Just because Burr, Chappelle and yes, even "alt-right icon" Joe Rogan make fun of "wokeness" doesn't mean they're conservatives. The rest of their opinions still tend to be solidly left-leaning.
