Gonna see how it goes with this squad. I played on the Reds during RTTS, and they were pretty fun, so I'm going to use 'em again. Hit six (?) HRs in my first game, so that was nice.

Ugh, lost 4-3 to Seattle. I know it's just spring training, but it sucks, since we clawed our way back a bit. Zobrist homered, but the rest was mostly smallball. Someone GIDP'd a run home, but I forget who. I also have Kimbrel as a reliever, so it's always good to see his hulking stance. It has a quick release, so I should steal it for RTTS.

As for Gagne, I got him pretty easily, since when you do the draft (everyone + legends), closers and relievers aren't seen as high-value targets. As someone who loves pitching in the game, I tend to prioritize them a bit more than HR titans, so I'm surprised I got as good of a team as I did.

Note that I'm not a lifelong Reds fan or anything -- 99% of what I know about 'em is from the game and their roster. It's the reason why, when you said "at least you have one Red there," I thought immediately, "I'm pretty sure I have Jesus Aguilar, too". lol

Can you create a bunch of players in the new games? I remember back when I was obsessed with MVP 05 (god that was so long ago now) I would manually create (by editing minor leaguers) basically the entire league. Then in a couple other later games I got I wasn't able to create a bunch of players like that.

You can create characters to use in Road to the Show (RTTS), where you start in the minors and grow them up to superstar levels. It's probably not the main draw for most baseball fanatics, but for someone like me, who's heard of some of the greats but that's it, it was a fun way to experience the modern era. The obvious downside is that you can't make some ridiculously powerful dude and use them in other modes.

I don't know much about this game, but why does your AAA roster have so many major leaguers on it?

I did a draft of every single person on every roster, so once your team fills their 40-man roster, everyone else has to go down to the minors. Not sure if some of the AA draftees are randoms created by the game (to keep things even), but their ratings are in the 50s and 60s, so they're unlikely to get to the majors. Aguilar is pretty clutch, so I'd like to get him up at some point.
