I'm just waiting on the purple windflowers, and then I'll have them all. I got a big patch of hybrid reds going now, plus a few blues spawned from them (so hopefully at least two of them will be the good ones that have the 25% chance of spawning purple).

flowers I still need I think black cosmos, purple tulips, purple hyacinth, purple pansies, green mums, then blue roses & gold rosess

but for now just mainly focusing on more purple winds (aiming for 5 minimum everything)

My island's native flower is hyacinth and I can give you some of my purple hyacinth plants if you want.

I have 3 Purple pansies, so once they finally start giving me more you can have some of those. I'm pretty sure my wife has some of those other flowers too, but she's not done breeding hers yet.

Edit: My wife said her island has a bunch of purple pansies that I can grab and drop off. How many did you want?

I found a guide for roses that ends up with hybrid pinks and seed yellows that can give hybrid reds so I've been working on that.

My advice for people doing the long complicated methods of blue rose breeding is to still grow a patch of the simple hybrid reds on the side. It can take sooo long for the roses to cooperate to finish all the steps, that it's entirely possible to get lucky and get the blue rose from the simple hybrid reds before then. Citation: i got a blue rose from my hybrid reds before i'd even successfully tested the purple roses

I've only been able to get one hybrid red rose from the basic method so far. My patch of seed whites has been pretty stubborn about producing purples, so I haven't had much to work with. Only three, compared with 9 or 10 oranges. And two of them had to be shifted over to work with my alternate method.

Are you guys keeping the new whites that your white patches spawn? Because some of those whites will have bad genes that can't make purple or blue. You should always get rid of them.

If you have other human players on your island they're all given a chance earlier in the week to write a message that's part of the birthday celebration. (My wife's was last week.)

Yeah there was a new one that let you dupe using the mail. So basically anything except bugs/fish and a couple odd things like rusted parts were ripe to be duped.

I beat the game... or so I thought..

You should. It's been totally worth it for me since doing it! Plus you'll be able to get an extra Flick, CJ, and Redd item each visit. It'll only take 2 years to get all their stuff, instead of 4!
