4 star island achieved and still haven't decorated the bottom half of my island

5 star island isn't hard in and of itself, it's just having 5 stars while keeping your own vision. I have an area that is wooded and has a path running through it. It's simple but I like it. To get/maintain 5 stars, I've littered it with scooters and rocket lamps and a ping pong table, etc. My rose breeding area has garbage cans and playground equipment. After I get a half dozen LotVs, I'll probably put that to rest (unless there is another benefit to maintaining 5 stars that I am unaware of)

I've mostly done the same. I'm not at 5* yet, but I'm pretty sure you can do it without too much trouble because I still have a lot of decorating I need to do.

Also Anabelle stopped crafting after that person silently left. When that happened to me before, quitting and restarting the game got the animal to craft again.

Well I had Rodney forced upon me via first campsite yesterday but game kinda made up for it today by giving me Raymond after only 4 NM tickets (Jay, Mint and Gladys were the previous 3). Found him on trash island

I went into Annabelle's house and she was walking around with her hammer, then she went to her workbench. First time I've ever seen that.

Yeah that's what happens when someone silently leaves. Everything on the island resets back to the last save point, so anything you picked up or bought since the last save was undone.

Just toss the leaf umbrella, doesnt literally everyone get that on the first day

Yeah, I've seen that happen before. As long as they're holding a hammer, you can still get the DIY from them, even if they're not at their bench.

Yeah its caused by the - button sometimes when other people are trying to leave too or are stuck in menus.

More specifically, when this happens, a 10-second countdown will start. When it hits zero, the player will be forced out, and the island is reset.

But it's important to note that the person leaving with - can also press B to cancel out and stop the countdown. Or so I've read, I haven't actually tried it myself.

Very strongly considering it, because I'm tired of reaching 1600 every day, spending 10 minutes trying to figure out 15 items to sell, then having the same struggle the next day.

I had the maximum number of houses in New Leaf just for storage and pattern space. Not sure if I want to do that this time. I still haven't come close to the max storage in this game, and usually want to fully decorate all the houses and I haven't gotten enough furniture for that yet anyway.
