While role queue is nice now, they released Echo in a completely broken state. Use her sticky bomb cool down on any 200 hp hero and land one body shot and you'll win most duels. Then her beam which I think does more damage to anyone at 50% or less hp and just. Ugh.

Also her ult literally is bs. Almost dead? Ult into the enemy Reaper, get to full health, shoot 2 times into an enemy roadhog and get death blossom. And if that isn't enough to end the fight, you have time to do it again. And when it ends or if your clone form "dies" you just revert to full health.

Yep. Zenny isn't even really good atm because ban lists every week, and the last few either favored Lucio or when he was banned also took out the tanks zen works best with. :(

But accidentally become zen or Lucio with echo? You have time to get two beat drops.

They literally had to add role queue into the game becasue DPS heroes weren't viable for like a year dude.

Role queue completely killed the game for me. Stopped playing when it came out, attempted to get back into it 2-3 times since but cant do it. It is just such a terrible and flawed system

only problem with role queue is they didn't have an MMR reset with it so all those people who went bronze to GM on Mercy get placed at 4100 on DPS because of their Support MMR.

Her beam does bonus damage to any character or shield under half health. That bonus deals more DPS than a fully charged Zarya or Symmetra. Her sticky bomb does outrageous damage. She can fly. Her ultimate also gives her an extra life while guaranteeing at least one ult to use against the enemy teams.

Hm. Do you think slowing sticky bombs fire rate would help any, like one every 0.6 seconds for 3 seconds and increase the damage a bit so you can't just instantly delete any squishy?

So basically hit a sticky and beam any squishy to death? I haven't played since she went live but yikes if true.

Role queue is completely fucking stupid. Still love the game, but role queue sucks. DPS has more characters than Tank and Support combined, but only 1/3 of your team is DPS. And DPS was already the most popular class because the characters are generally more fun to play. The result is unbearably long queue times to play DPS. Role queue would be understandable if only 1/3 of the characters were DPS.

I think that could work. Maybe even slow the projectile speed or reduce the bombs to just two.

If Bridget couldnt do so, I doubt echo could. As a character shes pretty boring admittedly, hard to believe they dropped the ball this hard after wrecking ball.

And Idk why they went ahead with a dps hero at all in this 2-2-2 format+character when healers and tanks still have so few options.

You can't have a game with all unique characters with different skills and abilities and have it balanced.

League of legends is also like this and the kids actually feel like they are good at something by playing the 'flavour of the month' champions and waste their life away.

Overwatch will neve be balanced. Blizzard proved years ago in WoW they don't know how to and they're worse at it in Overwatch.

I don't think echo is that bad by herself, the bigger problem I see is that mccree and widow are banned right now so the only thing you really have to check echo is soldier but he can't really burst her down like cree/widow can so she's pretty much free to get close enough to do her burst combo for basically free with a pocket mercy. I feel like as long as cree and widow are up echo won't be as oppressive since she won't be able to fly around freely and have to be more grounded where it's easier to deal with her

Overwatch 2 is basically a big patch for Overwatch, with that you are pretty much only paying for all the PVE content they are adding if you buy it, everything else is gonna be a free update (all the new characters and maps for PVP and any balance updates, the updated look and stuff, etc.). It'll be more like Fortnite now I guess where you have the PvE and BR modes as separate things

Queued for DPS yesterday. "<2 minute queue" it said, lol nope. 19 minutes. Then after the first minute and half a healer on our team DC'd. 2 minutes passed and our turn on attack was about to start, but I left the game. Or so I thought, it would only let me rejoin. I entered, everyone but the healer who had rejoined and me were gone. :l So of course, I then left and it closed the match... And took 50 SR from me and I somehow had 9 mins left on my suspension. Just, what, no warning or anything besides the usual if you leave now you can't rejoin one. :'(

Tanks have and always will be the strongest heroes in the game. Echo is the only actually overpowered DPS that's been released since day 1 Rocket Punch Doomfist. And honestly, she's only overpowered with a pocket Mercy anyway, though her dying during Ult giving her full HP back is stupid bullshit.

And healers have and always WILL define the metagame, but sure, the DPS are overpowered.

yeah tanks are pretty strong. I'm so used to DVa I don't really like anything with bad mobility though. I did play rein yesterday in QP classic and had one game with 15 earthshatter kills. a moira stole the pog from my 5 person shatter of course

ive only played echo a few times but I think her sticky bombs or beam or maybe both will get nerfed. And she needs to either die if she gets killed during her ult or get less charge. Feels bad playing DVa and having an echo use twice as many self destructs as me
