And how are the people there acting? Like my quarantine is basically, "Stay inside if you can." As for the people, there are less people, but I guess many still go out to work. And on base, people were still out for walks/jogs, and bike riding. And stuff like that. Well, they were. Something recently happened on base. But I was still sleep when reading. So I have to check..

But in my hometown, I heard they adding curfew. And breaking it could result in a $2,500 fine, or a year in jail.

So, what stage is the curfew at in your current state or city or whatever? And are people still out and about as normal, or actually staying inside?

Sadly my roomates just threw a birthday party yesterday, both are going out daily as well. Many people are ignoring the whole thing, or laugh and say it'll be gone in a few weeks.

They don't even bother looking online for info/stats etc, they just assume it's nothing. Even with the president ordering people to stay inside through april, no difference.

I literally use gloves etc to open the door upstairs to avoid contact with things my roomates have touched and I have not gone into the kiichen in over a week. Wish they would self isolate so we could at least hang out with each other (not that they seem interested in that normally), but instead they are having friends over like it's normal and having parties etc.

Can't go up there with that much risk, they may be young and healthy, but I am not.

I think people are just tired of being isolated. I can't blame them. Especially since if it does get worse, they may start making people stay in. Meaning that nobody can see anybody anymore. And that will drive people crazy. I mean, some couples are apparently not doing well with being stuck together...

I stayed home for the past 3 weeks. I don't even know if my grandfather is still alive right now, since he resides at the Holyoke Soldiers Home, is 91, and not in good health.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/11-vets-die-at-massachusetts-facility-5-tested-positive-for-covid-19/ar-BB11Wyge?li=BBnb7Kz

I've never even went outside since the 11th, and I don't have a single clue what is going on in the Solider's Home. I also despise China more than ever, and wish to see their evil communist government topple for not only lying, but infecting the world and making the WHO complacent in their lies, which will turn out to be fatal.

3, in my case, but yeah.

Still a bit of car traffic during rush hours, but very few people visible out on the street from my flat. And I'm not seeing neighbours in the lobby every other day like I used to.

I have a job in an essential industry, so I've been going to work everyday, but the customer base is non-existant now (at least where I'm located). All non-essential businesses have been shut down. That doesn't stop me from seeing people all over the parks when I drive home, however.

There's a curfew and whatnot but most people are ignoring it. No one actually gives a fuck and the people that aren't working are treating it like a vacation.

Queens NY (worst hit spot in US so far): Stay in place order. Only open stores are Grocery and Pharmacy. Once busy streets are ghost towns. Hospitals are at or over capacity, so I'm scare of even breaking my leg because where could I go? And according to the News we're still two to three weeks away from the worst of this. It's getting scary.

And while we have it the worst now, I doubt we will be the worst hit.

Here in Virginia, it jumped from "it's a good idea to social distance" to "stay your butt at home til June, that's an order" overnight. I haven't been out to a store to see if there's chaos, but I haven't heard of any so I think people have finally settled into the at home rut. As for me, my job is labeled as "essential" since I handle computers for the various departments at the local university.

Bright side is I only have to work 2 days a week now and get paid for five. I have latex gloves, filtered masks and hand sanitizer to last months at that schedule. So while I'm not happy to still be in the perti dish, I'm at least prepared for it.

From what my husband tells me people are still dragging their whole family into the store to shop and stand around and talk, hug and visit. Personally I haven't left the house in a week and that was only to go through the pharmacy drive to pick up medicine for my mom. So no, most people here are treating it like an extended vacation. I am not.

Should mention most insurance plans right now will allow you to have perscriptions sent to your home. It took me about 4 hours to set it up yesterday, but at least now I won't need to go out to get my prescriptions in a few days.

Quiet but my local beer and grocery stores are still open and decently stocked.

I'm still working as of yesterday. We are only doing delivery and take out.

I platinumed "A Fractured But Whole" as well.

The hospital across the street has been relatively slow throughout this whole ordeal.

I believe it goes through the normal mail, so if you get mail there, you might be able to. Worth a shot at least.

Even drive throughs are dangerous which is why I went through the hassle of switching over.

We've been under a statewide shelter in place order for almost two weeks. Aside from the kid not being able to go to preschool or see friends, and people hoarding some items at the store which makes them difficult to find, not much has changed. I already worked from home, although I'm much busier due to the industry in which I work, and that's probably going to last for a few years. I walk to the beach daily and that is much more peaceful and quiet. Actually kind of nice, especially since we'll have upper 60s/low 70s sunny weather all week. Pretty weird to see an area that is usually full of activity close to completely deserted.

For the most part people seem to be taking it seriously. It's really nice the odd time I do leave the house... once a weekish. Being in a city means it's not going to be perfect just on volume, but most things have shut down.

What's the quarantine like where you are?

And how are the people there acting?

  1. It's fine. Stay indoors and only travel if needed. You can go for a walk too. We also have the two meter apart rule and shops have put in measures like glass infront of the employee and markers on the floor to stand behind. They have also gave the police the power to break up folk who are not following rules and even fine them. We also have stop checks for folk on the road.
  2. Most folk are doing as they should from what I can tell in my city at least. I often see folk covering their face too. Not just with the masks but also other masks. Whatever helps I guess. The staff of the stores are helpful too despite the pressure they must be under at times and the risk they take working. Still on the plus side not many folk are in the shops anymore too and the shelves are becoming more stocked so the panic buying seems to have stopped. I decided to go and buy some bits and bobs today.
