Something to think about: If we do votes the traditional way in a regular topic, whoever happens to be leading early on in the poll may have a big impact on later votes. For example, let's say Fax Factory has 6 votes and Imbrium is in second with 5 votes early on in the poll, far ahead of the other contestants. This may cause a lot of people to abandon their own preference to support Imbrium because they don't want Fax Factory to get the extra life, or vice versa. So yeah basically, the worst-case scenario is that it could end up turning into a 1v1 anti-voting battle if everyone's votes are visible, destroying other worthy competitors' chances because they were unlucky in not getting votes in the beginning. I'm not sure how likely that scenario would happen, but the remedy for that might be to have us PM our votes to you.
