Never played a Demon's Soulsborne game, but I have played Jedi Fallen Order and now I want more.

Depends how much you like getting your ass handed to you. For me it's a 10/10. But it's easily one the hardest games I've ever beat. Easily

did you enjoy the lightsaber battle with what's-his-name on the red planet?

if so then imagine an entire game with that type of encounter and you should be able to decide if you want it or not.

10, it doesn't have all the pointless online shit that the souls games have and is a much tighter and well put together experience

I feel like the timing is much more precise in Sekiro. It was hard for me to move to Jedi Fallen Order, because I felt the combat felt sloppy in comparison.

Sekiro was definitely my game of the year, though.

Okay. I'd like to get it, but I'm sure as fuck not paying $50+ for it on PSN. And it's probably not smart to travel through the dangerous outside world beyond my home. But yeah, I'd like to pick it up when I can.

You will get REKT.

Demon's Souls would be a GREAT start. More forgiving but still a challenge.

Assuming you played Fallen Jedi on normal mode, you will be in a world of hurt with the From Software games, especially Sekiro (which is a more defensive game than any previous From Software game).

But it can be done!

However, I'd suggest Dark Souls remastered if you can't find Demon's Souls first. Then later, try Bloodborne or Sekiro.

I asked my friend about this and he keeps trying to sell me on Nioh. According to him, they play very similarly. I don't know, I'm just not feeling Nioh for some reason. How right is he about that comparison.

Sekiro is the one good from software game that relies on more fair combat and gives you tools to succeed
Nioh shares mechanics with Dark Souls like checkpoints, losing XP when you die but able to recover it and stamina/ki.
Nioh is a linear designed game focused on combat with all human enemies having stamina/ki like you and plays fair. Though the monsters have different rules but can be drained of stamina too in other ways.
Dark Souls is a slightly less linear game focused on exploration to succeed and enemies have infinite stamina and thus it's harder on the basis of you're playing with one arm tied behind your back and the enemy isn't.
But Nioh is harder overall.
