Well, this is only in my limited experience, but web development is more like one flavor of development these days. Then you sign on as a developer, meaning you do it all. For ezample, at my last job, I did some ASP.NET, some C# and a buttload of dumbass SSIS.

Not nobody. The guys who make the builders no doubt do a ton of it, and I did have a job that involved a fair amount of Javascript with a bit of html thrown in.
