Got through the boss fight without too much trouble.

The zombie chick went down right before we killed the Leader, just because I wasn't paying attention and tried to have her heal herself too late.

I cleared out a nest of spiders.

I nearly got wiped by Swarms. I'm only partially sure how I even kill them.

That and literally everyone in the party has massive strength damage that I can't seem to get rid of.

So I tried a new tactic.

It is known affectionately as the "LEEROOOOOOY JEEEEENKINS."

I thought that charging his ass would surely keep him from spamming Fireball.

He looked at me, looked at his hands, and shot that fucking Fireball directly at his own dick.

Anyone have advice in general for this game?

I think I'll leave Tutti-frutti alone until I can level a bit more, or at least heal. Everyone's got Dex poisoning.

Feat wise I gave Amiri and Valerie Focus in Greatswords and Bastard Swords in that order. I think Amiri uses GS, I have no fucking idea.

My main chick has Spell Focus in Evocation, think I'm gonna make her a Fire specialist to go along with the eventual Gold Dragon Disciple.

I also spent my money to roll up my own Druid. He's a Dwarf, and he's got a MASTODON FOR A PET

I'll admit I'm a bit overwhelmed at the sheer scope of what I can do.

I also want to make a Duelist at some point, thinking about starting with a Rogue with the Knife Master kit or whatever, snag a level of Fighter for Specialization. Kinda want to have him duel-wield a Rapier and a Kukri.

Also I sold the Masterwork nunchucks I found, I don't think anyone is gonna be using those.

This was the one that I used. You can completely respec either yourself or a party member 3 times total for free. By talking to the pathfinder society guy at the trading post or in your town when it gets built. One I hit about 12 level I respecced my pc into a lawful good guy with a bonkers mix of various classes and levels to get the most benefits out them. Had like 2 monk levels to get Wisdom bonus to AC, 2 levels of paladin to get Charisma bonus to all saves and a bunch of fighter and swordlord levels as well.

Downloaded a bunch of mods, rolled up a Sylvan Sorcerer to check out new stuff.

Think I'll need to start my main over from scratch, I missed out on a lot of stuff like Traits.

I've been playing this game for a while now. Got way too many hours logged. Not just because the game is sense, but because I keep having to pause and step away to deal with my monstrous children.

Anyway, I've been playing an Aasimar Hospitlar Paladin in the second highest difficulty setting. Started with a shield bash build, but got bored with it, so respecced to a cleaving build and using two handed weapons. Currently level 13, using a Falchion +4 I found. When I Divine Bond it to be Keen and deal bonus damage, he can still wreck shit by critting often and initiating AoO from his melee allies.

Mostly been using the characters Valerie, Ekundayo, Tristian, Octavia, and a rotating sixth (usually Jubilost, Jaethal, or Linzi).

My characters probably aren't optimized, but I don't mind sharing how I've built them.

More general advice though, regarding feats, you don't need to do it right away, but you're going to want to give everyone Blind Fight eventually. Maybe by level 11 - 12. Let's just say there are some Fey enemies in the mid - late game that can fuck your team up with gaze attacks, but Blind Fight totally nullifies those gaze attacks. Saves a colossal headache.

For tanks, take a level in a Monk kit, if you can. Crane Style does work with armor and shields and is very useful for improving their Fight Defensively stance.

If you have more than one melee character on your team, have them all get the Outflank feat. They all get +4 to hit chance when attacking the same target and anytime one crits the target, the rest get an AoO. Combat Reflexes can add to that.

For spells, buffs are extremely important and crowd control spells are usually better than damage spells. Of the buffs, Haste is still king. For debuffs, Slow and Glitterdust are both great. For CC, Sirocco is king, but Web, Grease, Stinking Cloud, and the Pit trap spells are all useful.

I REALLY want to be a Dragon Disciple but it costs me some seriously cool shit. Like a Familiar. Or a MASTODON BREAK YOUR BACKS AND CRACK YOUR OARS MEN

Plus I still want to make a Swashbuckler sort of character but I understand those work better when you have a DM.

So Evocation isn't quite as fantastic as I would like? I had Spell Focus in it on my old dude.

As someone who played through it Id recommend against that. The game has a lot of weird bugs and questionable designed sections. A lot is lost of the combat mechanics from Pathfinder are also fucked up of lost entirely in the transition to real time with pause.

That said Im really optimistic for their next game. Its another pathfinder campaign, Wrath of the Righteous, but this time theyll have the experience and money to make it a really good one.

I've heard there's been a bunch of patches to improve the game but I don't know how much it's actually improved on because I can't stand to go through the opening for the 8th time. I have a bad habit of rerolling characters.

If you keep wanting to remake your character, there is a respec mod that let's you rebuild your character and party members from scratch at will.

There is too much combat in the game and a lot of it can be really fucking long, I can't imagine a turn based mod making it better, but to each their own.

Another bit of advice, once you do establish your barony, make it a priority to annex neighboring territories.

If only because each territory has artisans that can periodically deliver to you magic items they craft that you can't get anywhere else. And the sooner you get the territory, the sooner you get the artisans, and the more items you'll get over the course of the game.

Some of them provide really useful gear too.

Also, get used to it. The game is pretty dense. A lot of side stuff to check out, if you don't just rush the main quests.

I think my mods have had an unexpected consequence.

I can manually level my Druid's pet.

It starts from scratch, so when I experiment with it I suddenly can turn this Mastodon into a Dwarf Barbarian. Got his Strength and Constitution up to like 20.

I'd be annoyed but it means I get to kill him twice, which is really quite delightful.

You didn't lose out on an actual artisan there. Thos eared just flavor text cards associated with failing or succeeding events. Which are mostly just ways to gain or lose kingdom stats. Though failing to resolve certain ones in a timely manner can cause you to lose the game.

Octavia is almost a constant on my teams. She's already built to be an Arcane Trickster, so she can handle all of your Trickery needs. As far as spells, I use her mostly for crowd control (Grease, Spiked Pit, Stinking Cloud, Web, etc) and some damage dealing from Ray-type spells. She can deal Sneak Attack damage with ranged touch spells like Jolt or Acid Splash.

Regongar is already built to take some levels in Dragon Disciple. He's kind of a caster-type tank, who can deal some extra damage with touch spell damage added to his weapon. Might as well keep him using Scimitars, because there is one later that gives a bonus to hit when using those melee touch attacks.

My team never really found a place for him though, because Valerie and my Paladin covered the tanking needs well enough and other characters like Octavia, Jubilost, and Tristian covered my spell casting needs.

Speaking of which, make sure you recruit Ekundayo and Jubilost before you resolve the troll trouble. Otherwise, you can miss them.

And you wouldn't want to because they're two of the best characters in the game.

I don't even know where to find them.

I missed out on some sort of Blessed Wind thing because I just ran out of time.

Also I have no Treasurer.

I gave Tavi another level in Rogue just to get the feat. Went with Fast Stealth.

Figure I'll look into Trickster next time.

Jubilost is located at Ford Across Skunk River. It should be just west of your capital. Assuming your mods didn't alter him too much, he is an Alchemist. So, he throws a variety of powerful Bombs and casts some sorcerer spells. Get the class feat that let's him cast self-buffs, like Shield or Mirror Image, on other people.

Ekundayo is located at the Ruined Watchtower. By default, he is a Ranger with a Wolf pet. Specialized in longbows. Can deal a high level of damage from a far distance. Pets are always nice.

I'm not using any mods, so I don't know anything about custom classes. My Valerie is a blend of Tower Shield Specialist, Traditional Monk, Thug, and Stalwart Defender. My Harrim is just a pure Cleric, but I never use him anyway. My Tristian started as an Ecclesiatheurge, but I took a few levels in Empyreal Sorcerer and then Mystic Theurge; so, he levels up Arcane and Divine spell levels at the same time.

Found Jubilost.

Octavia and Valerie are probably going to use him as a tent spike, and I'm mildly inclined to let them.

Yeah, he is kind of a jerkass. In fact, he may literally live off of being a jerkass. But he is one of the best story companions in the game.
