He stole all my shit! Now I have a short sword and a red rusty two handed sword. If the stats are how they seem to be, red rust does less damage than my fists. But I guess I get good reach?

First time playing any Castlevania game.

But I liked two handed :p I guess I'll just switch to the short sword. Found the "Cube of Zoe" which Causes items to materialize. That seems good!

Man, what a fun game to play through the first time. Do yourself a favor and do it as blind as possible.

I found what I think is a dagger. It's not in my inventory but it's on the main playing screen but I'm afraid to press buttons to try it in case it's limited use and I lose it lol.

Haven't played in a while, but I have played this enough times to develop a muscle memory for where all the breakable walls/floors/ceilings are. I legitimately can't say that about any other Castlevania title. There are so many fun ways to break this game too, have fun TC.

Yeah I've always heard stuff like that. Like at one point you can play the whole game with the castle upside down or something? I doubt I will put so much effort into it.

If you don't, you're legitimately only playing half the game.

And yeah, Red Rust is terrible. Aside from it being slow and weak, it also doesn't let you attack diagonally and sometimes just flat-out doesn't work. I will say to keep it in mind though. There's a point early on where it can be useful.

I remember getting it for the first time when it came out. I had begged my dad to get me a Castlevania game because I never owned one. All my friends had at least one. I was hoping my dad would come back with Super Castlevania IV, since I had just gotten an SNES.

My dad came back with Symphony of the Night instead. I popped it in my PS1 and was disappointed because it didn't have any of the Belmont characters. I was playing as some vampire.

I was like great choice dad.

I put the game away for a few days but came back to it later. As I got further and further, the music and level design really sucked me into the universe. Everything about it was so awesome.

I was a dumb kid and I was wrong. I'm glad I didn't trade it away and came back to it. Symphony of the Night is the GOAT Castlevania game.

If you want the full experience you'll have to do the 2nd half with the upside down castle. There's a bad and good ending, but you can't get the good ending unless you unlock + do that part of the game.

It's pretty hard to miss the second part imo.

I downloaded it on PS4 with rondo of blood a few weeks ago and didnt know they redid the voices. I was legitimately sad about that.
