I wouldn't call the first two "out of nowhere," but they certainly do come to him when they're most handy for the plot to move forward. The third is just a deus ex machina in the form of a relic sword.

thats because it's a book intended for children. if you dont like this plot element, try reading more books for adults

also the cloak was his, since it was his fathers, despite it being rather important to the overall plot even if it's largely ignored after a while

the map just kinda happened

and the sword is a literal deus ex machina

More like the twins found it during detention, stole it, and played around with the thing until they figured it out. Then they gave it to Harry JUST as he happened to need it for the plot to move forward. Then later in the same book we find out that Harry's father with his own friends made the map, so it was basically his by right, though it had a tendency to be taken away and given back any time the plot needed it to be so.

Same happens with most children's books. I do admire the Alex Rider books for making certain situations look worse then they would be IRL and if you pay attention, you can pick up on some of the tricks villains use early on.
