There are so many commercials going right now, particularly in regards to fast food locations, advertising free food and specifying contact-free or minimum contact pickup. Pizza places are advertising dropping off pizzas at the door without any contact if you pay ahead, for example, and Burger King is offering free kids meals with minimum-contact pickup.

Even a month ago, these commercials would be really bizarre, but it's kind of a testament to how much things have changed in such a short span.

Just a spare observation. It's a pretty unique situation, and it's interesting to see the cultural shift as it happens.

On the flip side...Listen to Sports Radio, and note the amount of Public Service Announcements there are.
Those are the sort of thing they would spam out in the middle of the night, when ratings are low.

But now, you are hearing them at almost all hours.
They have nothing to talk about, so advertisers have pulled their spots.

It's hard to find some of the examples on YT, but there's a sample of one of them. There are several along the same lines of "Here's some special offers, and no contact."

It's pretty interesting to see it play out. Like I said, even a month ago, these ads would seem really bizarre.

Oh, yeah, it's definitely pretty blatantly attempting to buy goodwill. I think that's part of what makes it kind of interesting, though. It's not really subtle that corporations are being hit hard, and they're trying to offer bells and whistles and "safe" pickup. It's interesting to see them scramble here.

safe contact dropoffs are bs because you have to trust all employees preparing your food to not contaminate it mistakenly or unknowingly. after years in the food biz, low level and management, im not trusting dives like burgerking.
