We'll see man. It depends on how seriously people are taking the lock downs and social distancing stuff. If everyone gets on board we can see the numbers peak in a couple of weeks then start dropping off. Canada is doing a lot better. Not sure about the States.

Exactly 9 days ago TC was claiming "Canada is already seeing cases go down, in 2 weeks it'll all be done and we'll be free. Canadians actually follow social distancing guidelines!" it was on that day that the cases were infact going up and continued to shoot up

So - a lot of new information has come in since then.

The quarantine rules that were said to be enforced and mandatory 2 weeks ago, really, people did not get on board until late this week.

We also repatriated a shit load of infected people the last 2 weeks.

So now we're back to where we should have been 2 weeks ago, today. So it'll be another two weeks before things start getting better. Canada hasn't been hit as hard as the States and I believe will end up being a model of recovery like South Korea.

I don't think you quite get it....the only reason he mentioned that was to try and put the notion in peoples minds that an early opening is possible, to help the markets. Thats all he has cared about this whole time. His decisions are solely about helping big business and helping his own image and absolutely nothing to do with helping the people. Its the same reason why he had a hunch that hydroxychloroquine was a "miracle drug" and he had a hunch that this would all go away and it'd be a miracle, and that he had a hunch that this would be done by Easter. He words it in a way that you can't hold him up to his word in court.

K. I can tell you from living where I live, people are taking the quarantine rules very seriously now. They weren't two weeks ago even though they were supposed to. We'll see what happens in a couple of weeks. I think the latter half of April you'll see the numbers drop off in Canada. I don't know about the States.

You don't have to. The more time that goes on the better data we have. I don't believe I ever said everything was going to be better in 2 weeks just that in some places you'd see the numbers dropping and some things could start opening. A lot of it depends on how serious the citizens get about it and how badly the place is hit in the first place. I wouldn't be surprised if in a week British Columbia is already recovering based on their numbers as they appear to be the model of recovery for Canada. Ontario is a bit behind but I'm sure things will get better the latter half of this month.

Nothing yet because not enough time has gone by. A lot of stuff I said was along the lines of we won't see 6 month closures and that summer weather will be helpful for the virus. We'll have to see what happens. I never predicted the world would be fully recovered by mid April but that seems to be how some people such as yourselves who now have your accounts warned had interpreted it
