I'm not collecting them, I just replace them after they begin to suffer problems. The Galaxy Gear had half of its electronics in the band making it non user replaceable, so when the band started to break it was cheaper to buy a new watch. And i understand a lot of people use their phone which is fine but unless you are using the phone it's much more efficient to see the time flicking your wrist. Not a huge deal but I would get annoyed needing my phone whenever i wanted to see the time. it's okay if people don't like watches but some of the responses i see are kinda nonsensical.
