Board 8 > Really enjoying XCOM 2: War of the Chosen

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is one of my favorite games but I never actually got around to playing XCOM 2, mostly due to hearing how rough it was at launch. Although it in some ways feels less balanced and tightly designed than Enemy Unknown, the War of the Chosen additions (at least, what I think are additions, since I never played the base game) add a ton of personality and flavor to the game that Enemy Unknown never really had.

I'm close to the end and I think I've kind of outscaled the game's difficulty due partly to how overpowered the Chosen weapons are, but it's not affecting my enjoyment at all since it's so fun to have a Death from Above Sharpshooter or a Reaper Ranger just tear through 5 enemies in a single turn.

I have played both Xcom 1 and Xcom 2 when they were free bu tman are these games hard.

Assassin's Katana + Bladestorm = complete immunity to Chryssalids. Every single one of the zombie-making bastards I encountered in my game died in a suicide charge against Jane Kelly.

I didn't take Bladestorm on my melee Ranger and then immediately regretted it when I encountered Chryssalids for the first time, yeah.

As someone who enjoyed XCOM:EU, this is the greatest argument you can make for me to play XCOM 2.
