It's an amazing game whether you're familiar with Resident Evil or not. I know it's a small thing and my own personal preference but I used to love having to retrace my steps to find an elusive key item or triple check a room to ensure I haven't missed any hidden ammo. Whereas in the remakes you can just check your map to eliminate the empty rooms.
