If it was true, why would companies bother hiring men? Just get a flat 30% off labor by hiring women.

When factoring in lifestyle choices, career types, etc., the gender pay gap doesn't exist.

You're conflating the pay gap with pay inequality, which is also what feminists tend to do when complaining about the pay gap.

Pay gap is men and women getting paid differently for different things

Pay inequality is men and women getting paid differently for the same thing

Yup; I am definitely confusing the two then.

if a job is physical and the man gets more done because he is biologically stronger he should get paid more.

If both genders get the same work done pay should be equal. Period. Common sense.

The pay gap is a myth made up by uneducated celebrities that can't accept that they are less talented than their peers so they make up excuses *cough*Amy Schumer*cough*

What exactly is "same work"? Two people can never do the exactly the same work in the same way. Even then, there's a lot of factors that go into pay other than the work done, like experience, education, efficiency, and even just asking for more money.

Anyway, the whole 70 cents per dollar was gotten by taking the average income of all men and the average income of all females, that's it. It says nothing about same job, hours worked, experience, nothing.

I think the only people who take this type of discussion (in the western world) truly seriously are gender studies departments at universities.

What if the woman gets paid more because she is more physically powerful and the man is a weeaboo/room outside?
your scenario almost never happens. Even the weakest man has an edge over the strongest woman.

In short, even the weakest male has significant strength advantages over top female athletes.

The pay gap, even if discussed honestly, implies that the more money a person makes, the more valuable they are.

The thing is, there are far fewer women making obscene, nearly evil amounts of money. Is this a bad thing?

"Women get paid less because they are treated as inferior."

"Why would any company not just entirely hire women if that was true!?"

You don't even have to get into arguments to instantly see the flaw in that question.

Anyway I find it hard to believe anyone who claims men and women are treated equally in the workplace is being honest.

They're not, flat out. Even in America and Western Europe. Let alone the rest of the world.

I've seen flat out ignore doctors advice because the doctor is a chick then listen to random guys when they say the same thing.

Now imagine you're a 50+ year old male CEO or chairman or senoir position in a company who deals exclusively with other 50+ year males and so did your father. Then some chick turns up and starts telling you what to do.

Even if she's right, every part of your unconcious (and maybe even concious) being would stop and hinder her. When a position becomes avaible who are you going to promote? The other fat white guy who you've known for decades due to running in the same circles or some competent chick who draws attention just by walking into a board meeting as the only one in a dress?

Let's look at who makes the laws in Japan:

Oh let's look at who makes the laws in the US:

Well that's politics, let's have look at CEOs and senoir positions in businsess:

Oh..

I think it's possible to get a little too tied up in numbers in thsi thing but the issue runs deeper than widespread pay. It's a societal issue and the fact is society is not yet equal and may never be. Women as a generalization are not seen as the same beings as men, they are seen as lesser by millions including most people in power, many of whom do so unconciously.

Proof is in the pudding before you even discuss jobs and pay. The is a question in the world right now of "Do women deserve Body Autonomy?" and almost half of the developed World answers "No they don't. I should control their bodies." The figure for men would be like 0.5%

Now how can you accept that fact with a straight face and then pretend things are equal? It's beyond me.
