All my classes moved online, so thats neat.

Im on academic probation, and I was supposed to get a 3.75 this semester to stay in the program. The university made some adjustments, so now I only need a 3.25. Thats a lot more manageable!

Anyway Im taking four classes, and theyre all going mostly okay. I took two midterms this week. I aced the first, and Im waiting for results on the second. I have an essay and some homework due Monday I havent started, and I have a second essay due Friday I havent even started to look at.

next next week is when all my group projects are due.

then after that is a few more classes, then finals.

sigh.

It's so weird hearing about grad programs that care about classes

Maybe it's just academic programs, no one cares about classes or grades (so long as you're meeting requirements to stay in the program), because research progress is what's really important

in my program, making a 3.0 is meeting requirements to stay in the program. I dont really understand the difference. I have two research projects going right now (one solo, one in a group), but those are part of a class. Progress in the research is judged with grades. So yeah, people care about classes because thats where stuff happens, and they care about grades because they want to stay in the program.

My entire MS was six classes.

A lot of research though. I got three crappy first authored papers out and an unknown number of 2nd-4th author papers will be coming out.

My grad program doesn't have a research component so class work is all that matters.

In my grad program I could have done my own research project, but instead I chose to do an applied project, which looked at others research and used it to apply to a real-world endeavor, so I wrote and Illustrated this kids book to help encourage early literacy
