Board 8 > what is going on with my internet connection?

it seems like my wifi randomly decides to act really spotty. evidence:

• when video chatting with friends family, they look and sound totally fine but complain that our connection is cutting in and out
• my remote desktop for work pauses randomly and infuriatingly often
• google speakers randomly stop playing music

I've tried rebooting the router and modem a couple times, doesn't seem to fix anything. i've tested by pinging google and my router through the command prompt and nothing seems wrong.

internet speed test tells me i've got about 115 mbps down and 11 up so it's not my internet speed (assuming everything else is working fine). what am i missing? should i be looking at a new modem? router?

Do you live in an area where people are doing quarantine? I've read it's possible for the increased number of people using internet to overload the system.

I've definitely experienced my Internet randomly dropping for a few seconds during the lockdown

Yeah, we keep losing connection occasionally too. Probably quarantine overload.
