I bought it for my wife's birthday.

Apparently it's made with tofu, and she expected it to be disgusting. It turned out to be really good though. The cake is slightly dry, but the topping is this fudge ganache that's thick and super chocolatey.

I've had a gluten free brownie that was one of the best brownies i've ever had. Not sure if it was vegan, though

Veganism is nothing from animals, period. That includes meat, milk, eggs, etc.. I don't know how people could possibly even remotely enjoy living that way, but a number of people do live that way despite that.

I don't think they enjoy it. looking at vegan subreddits it's clear many are vegan because they saw vegan propaganda films like "what the health" and got scared into it. It certainly isn't health reasons despite what they tell you.

I had some vegan ice cream that was delicious, my non vegan family members regularly get it too they liked it so much.

but is it better than REAL ice cream? Yeah no it's not. Which is the point. IF you're going to eat sweet dessert, eat the real stuff. same thing with fake meat, if you want fake meat, just eat real meat.

Hunt a deer yourself and cook the meat over an open flame. Not this rubbish you are sold.

I'm a trained chef (I don't work in the industry though) and one of the tasks we had during training was to make a 2 course vegan meal, picking 2 of a starter, main, dessert. I went main and dessert and a chocolate cake with mandarin sorbet was my dessert entry it was pretty nice if I'm honest, not a patch on a real one mind you but it was perfectly edible and enjoyable, it was reminiscent of eating that veggie bacon which tastes a bit like bacon, looks a bit like bacon, smells just like bacon, but your brain knows right away it's not actually bacon.

I did want to make a carrot cake, seems more vegan sounding doesn't it, but there was no way to recreate the frosting as it's basically all cream cheese and everything I tried tasted rancid. This was long before vegan sections in supermarkets I'll add, you were lucky if you could find a vegetarian lasagna or something never mind vegan anything. Soy milk and the likes were a distant dream. Strangely, I didn't know a single person back then that was either vegetarian or vegan, you can't move for the buggers now.

vegan food tends to be far more processed.

Yes artificial flavors and coloring agents are in too many things these days, but you can minimize it. Heck the more meat you eat, the less of that stuff you will actually consume overall.

But my point stands, you want ice cream, then you need REAL ice cream with REAL milk. this non-dairy milk knockoff stuff is terrible.

It's basically saying:

"I want bacon"

*Person gives you bacon*

"No I said I want BACON" ---- grabs fake bacon

it's ridiculous.

I remember once i was at a graduation party at a vegan restaurant. All the old people were complaining but there i was eating a bunch of the perfectly edible, tasty food.

Vegan stuff generally isn't as tasty as non vegan however if it's prepared well it's still good food to me.
