You want accurate results do it in a controlled environment. Expert Andy Pekosz, a microbiologist at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health who wasnt involved in the studies, told the paper its safest to assume the virus wont taper off in the summer. We dont know with the COVID-19 virus how it will behave in the warmer weather, Pekosz said. Prepare for having to deal with this in the summer months and assume there will be no respite. Obviously the worst is still yet to come in terms of total # of active cases. I live in Tokyo and this article pretty much sums up how I, and many other people, feel. Basically, before the Olympics were delayed, the numbers were low and things were seemingly under control. Then, the Olympics were officially delayed, and then, THE NEXT DAY, suddenly the numbers started spiking and each day is a record high for consecutive days. There are talks of a lockdown as well in Tokyo.
