Ok, the TP situation continues to be fucking stupid. Managed to get a single 12-pack of it after trying 3 stores and having to look for a pallet of it walmart had left on the other end of the store than the aisle it's supposed to be in.
But I got it!

...What the fuck is the deal with the frozen broccoli hoarding? That's been cleared out completely in every store I've gone to for the past 2 weeks now.
Is it the same for anyone else?
Why is no one talking about this?
When did broccoli become so damn popular? I've always loved it, but I thought most people in the U.S. did not...

Why do you think they need so much toilet paper. Have you looked into t th e fiber content of broccoli. These boomers are gonna live up to the name when they awaken there colons since the only vegatable they eat is corn and potato. So yeah 3rd week of quarantine is gonna be featuring a stomach virus of unknown origin for them and the are gonna force a run on liquid bismuth

I just buy broccoli fresh. You are cooking it anyways so it will kill off any residual virus left over after washing and it tastes better. Plus none of the hoarders are going after produce.

And if you want it to keep more then a couple weeks, you can freeze the fresh stuff.

I have eaten frozen broccoli in the PF changs brocolli beef (it's meh) but that is about it.

Otherwise it's always fresh for me and yum yum good, and the fresh stuff is still totally available.

Let whoever have the frozen crap, only good if you have a headache and need a cold package to put on your head.

Fresh broccoli is fine, I buy that too.
Usually goes bad in a week though, so I don't get much.
Often if I'm making a stir fry, I have to go to the frozen stuff b/c I don't have enough/any fresh broccoli left.

The frozen broccoli is fine for cooking with.

Broccoli with cheese, normally $4, marked down to $2, bought it for my neighbor because I don't much care for it.

Toilet paper was restocked but only an overpriced brand, didn't buy any.

Wartime conditions, National Guard mobilized, no martial law or ration cards yet. Maybe I'll start a Victory Garden like my grandparents in WWII.

If you buy the brocolli florrets in a bag (at safeway 2 pound bags are $5, they last for 2-3 weeks easy, which is what I usually do. No clue why only having the florrets (heads) make it last so long, but it's my favorite part so I don't care.

We haven't had frozen veggies selling out where I live. The stores are more or less back to normal although they do have limits on certain items. Maybe it has something to do with the supplier?

Here, 3 weeks ago fresh produce was completely ransacked in most places as well as frozen. The past 2 weeks there's been fresh produce, but still way less than normal. The frozen stuff was still cleared out 2 weeks ago. This week, it was lower but most of it still there...except notably the broccoli still cleared out entirely.

After paper products and sanitizer/masks/gloves, produce in general has been the most scarce thing where I live. Even hand soap was fairly available this week.

I was told the news is reporting that something else will be the "next shortage" ...which basically guarantees it will be cause the media just scare-mongered people into believing it. *sigh*
I don't think I should even mention what item it was, lest I commit the same act I'm berating the media for.
