There is so much truth in ' you are so busy growing up you may not notice your parents are getting older'. My dad is 65 and my mom is 60 with Covid-19 going around it really worries. Even without it its scary to know they will soon not be able to do more phyaical activities such as going camping or runing the marathon togeder and their time is running short... I always got along great with them and even if you don't have any regrets its still terrifying.

We don't really realize how short life really is until we're old ourselves.

I'm 29 and I still feel like I've barely done anything in particular with my life.

I'm still playing videogames and watch movies like I did as a kid.
Sadly I can't ever see myself starting a family because I feel like I'm still not up for task of taking care of kids of my own.

Damn this Covid-19 outbreak. It feels like we wouldn't even be in this mess if more people just took more responsibility.

I used to recall the TC's alt and now I've forgot. Anyway....
My dad is 65 and my mum could be dead for all I care. I'm not worried. If anything I'd be more concerned about my younger sister catching it. Not only have I already lost a sister but she could then pass it on to her kids and I wouldn't want kids going through that shit.

I realised when my sister died when she was 26 from cancer. Some folk don't get to even be old. Still I certainly am wasting the life I have. It feels like I'm in a hole I can't get out of. Ironically that's where I'm probably heading.

My grandparents were old at 50.
My parents were old at 70
I'm 73 and not old at all... maybe when I reach my 90s?

And yes, I play videogames and watch movies. Not like as a kid, had to go to a theater to watch movies, we got a TV when I was 8, and had to go to an arcade to play the mechanical driving and shooting games.

And my videogaming reflects my real-life activities, flying, sports cars, martial arts and traditional weapons, golf.

Age is not important, dancer62. I banged a 61 year old in 2010, and she wasnt bad at all. Boobs like a well kept 35 year old if you ask me.

Baloney. Age is just a number. 60's isn't old at all, provided these people keep somewhat active. You have couch potatoes in their 50's who can't walk to the mailbox while others in their 60's or 70's still enjoy swimming or skiing. Anyone else heard the saying you're only as old as you feel?

I agree that you can feel young. And that age is just a number. But feeling young doesn't actually make you young. You still are technically old. You're just a very active, but still old person... You can be old, but feel young at the same time. or be old and active at the same time...

I get what you're trying to say. My point was that even though you're legally whatever age, it doesn't mean you're gonna fall apart at a specific date, ya know? Sure there are a few things you'll have to be careful of but more and more are seeing 90's and beyond. Or to put it another way, physical age doesn't have to match mental age if you read or do puzzles or something.

My mom is 70 but is in a nursing home so I have nothing to worry about. They aren't accpeting visitors until the COVID-19 scare is over and they screen anyone before they enter the doors of the facility.

My dad is 65, but he has worked from home for the last 5 years and has pretty much practiced quarantine/isolation since then, so again, not worried.

Oh. I get that. I know that people don't just stop being a person after a certain age. I know many people who are old, and still living the good life. Haha.

Age is pretty relative. My mom (who is now 73) has only fairly recently struck me as "old" whereas my first feeling of my dad being old was when he got his first electric scooter at like 62. Somehow, he's still kicking. He'll be 77 in two weeks.

I'm 35 and can generally run and lift circles around half or more of anyone my age or younger. I know people my age and younger who are falling apart. I also know people 20+ years older than myself who are still in pretty good shape.
