The only games I currently own are Pikuniku (loving it) and The First Tree (Haven't played it yet).

I'm thinking about buying FFVII since I've never played it, and it's only eight dollars. I'd buy Mother and Earthbound, but they're not available for some reason.

Recommend me some good cheap games.

Not sure on the price but I'd get the new Marvels ultimate alliance game for sure. Almost got a switch just for that actually.

Slay the Spire
looks interesting, but maybe a little too strategic. I'll read more about it though.

Also, is paying for Switch Online worth it? I don't have any online-playable games except Smash Bros, but I'm interested in the NES/SNES games.

You want cheaper games?
Knights of Pen and Paper 1 and 2 are on sale right now. Fun but a little repetitive.

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is $10 but it's an older game and it's tough as crap.

FFVII is a good price. Even IX would be good. It's on sale for $10ish right now.

Only reason to get it is for games like Smash or Animal Crossing. Really cheap compared to other companies services too.

Ill probably wait, then.

i ended up buying Hollow Knight for $15, FFVII for $8, and Conduct Together for a penny. I dont know anything about Hollow Knight or Conduct Together, but one has really good reviews and the other was 99% off!

Sill looking to buy 15-20$ of stuff. Current front runner is Untitled Goose Game, but still willing to hear recommendations.

Some games are better to get on other consoles or PC due to Switch hardware limitations too.

See if some of the old shin megami tensei games are on. Its basically the pokemon that those parents group think that pokemon is. Most of the shin games have a plot similar or could incorporate devil man crybaby

Stardew Valley if you haven't played it. Tetris 99 is also good if you like puzzlers and it's free I think.

Steamworld Dig 1 and 2. The first one is likely dirt cheap and well worth picking up to see if you enjoy the series.

Looks cute, but too expensive. I might buy a big boy game in a few months when I have more time

Someone introduced me to this site that tracks Switch games and when they drop in price.

https://www.dekudeals.com/

Just based on the "hot" deals page, I'd say go for FFVII, FFIX, Hyper Light Drifter, and Okami HD.

Which is actually what I was gonna get (minus FFIX) since my budget is $30.

Untitled Goose Game is great fun, and I'd recommend it, but it's quite short for the price. If you're on a budget and don't have much else to play, it's one to hold off on for now.

Not really. AAA stuff, sure, but pretty much anything indie runs just fine, and outside of stuff that works better with M+KB I actually find I prefer the Switch because of the portability. It's an excellent system for anything rogueli(t/k)e due to how such games promote short bursts of play.

While it's above your current budget, RF4 is definitely not more expensive than it's worth. I put well over 200 hours into that game on the 3DS, and it is hands down the best example of its genre I've ever played and possibly my favourite 3DS game full stop. I can't recommend RF4 enough to anyone that likes farming sims at all. It really is a phenomenal game.

I was going to ask about FF15 but then I looked it up and see that they gutted it so there's no reason to get it for the Switch.
