The fandom is also very fractured where you have people who just have an interest in the art and general idea of a community then you have the extremist creeps/Neckbeards who use the fandom as an excuse to shove all their fetishes or weirdness into something, act like it's what the fandoms about and proudly display this to others and that's what starts the hate. Obviously the sensible ones hate the creeps and just want to be left alone. I've known plenty of people that hate furries but then they make friends with one of the more normal ones and they realize they were being stupid and relaxed their views, maybe even becoming one themselves. They are supprisingly common especially in the transformation side of the fandom when the want 4 hooves and two hands. Yes I am a furry and I do feel persecuted because on some sites I say that furries, pony play (human carriage), and certain acts of bdsm should be protected just the same as drag queens and cosplayers. They are supprisingly common especially in the transformation side of the fandom when the want 4 hooves and two hands. Yes I am a furry and I do feel persecuted because on some sites I say that furries, pony play (human carriage), and certain acts of bdsm should be protected just the same as drag queens and cosplayers.
