So I decided to take a trip out to the store. I bought oranges, like a week ago, but when I peeled them, they were insanely dry. I gave it more days for them to get better, but nope. So I put a peeled one in water hoping it would revive it. Nope.

So I'm like ok, I REALLY want spicy doritos anyway, so I'll make a quick run and go through self check out, should be safe.

Everything goes great, in fact fred meyers has buy 5 doritoes and they are only $1.77...which is a great deal, and they had tons of them (spicy is the most popular so they had 2 full rows of them). I got 2 things of organize non-pasturized oj and went to check out.

I planned on just putting the chips in a bag and carrying the oj, so I put 1 bag down when checking out, but it turned out I needed two.

So I grabbed a nickle and put it on the counter by the person overseeing the self check out explaining why. She said oh, you don't need to, bags are free right now because everyone is having to bag their own groceries.

So I took the nickle back and walked back over to my station, except she followed me and said, "Oh, I'll help you organize this bag better" and proceeded to take all the chips out of the bag (also touching the handles of the bag in tte process, along with every bag of chips). I couldn't say anything because she did it so fast:(

So I got home and totally washed my hands, but now EVERY bag of chips could be contaminated.....grrrrrr.

At least she didn'' touch my OJ.

I guess I can open the bag, pour it into another container, then go wash my hands after every one, but it's really annoying.

Wouldn't it be easier to just wipe the bags down with a sanitizing wipe if you're that paranoid about it?

I have no sanatizing wipe they have been completely out of it. I could try with soap and water, but I think it's easier to just poor it into another bag honestly.

lmao, that only works with like celery and shit, and that's when you cut the ends off so it can absorb it.

If you really think you about it if you go out you are screwd. Its an airborne virus that i.... bah trying to think of the word.....but its still infectious up to 72 hours on surfaces. So you go out of your safe clean place head to the store staffed by ~25 individuals with50 customers in the store per hour. You touch your cart you touch random crap in the store. How clean do you think this place is? If you want to avoid this hell you will need to live a boring life. So if this is freaking you out buy canned goods wash the cans and shower out side your house still its airborne so you still have a chance you are infected

They seem to say the virus is massively diluted from surface contact.

Yeah, I have heard from many sources that your most likely to get it through the air, not from touching something, especially if you wash your hands before eating etc.

So I'm probably ok, but it was still annoying lol. Go way out of my way to avoid getting near people or having anyone touch stuff, and then she just came over and touched everything.

Technically, it was kind of your fault. You went over to her first. And that gets their attention. Which made he maybe think you might have need help bagging you items better since she may have saw how you bagged them... Maybe...

I'm not blaming her, what she did was nice. I just was annoyed by it. Like I said if I had just taken an extra bag and not payed for it, I would have been fine, but I am naturally honest and diin't wanna do that, so ended up having all my chip bags and the paper bag they were in touched by someone.

Not my fault, or hers, just a very annoying consequence of being honest.
