Luckily I did that with Sturgeon which other people have told me they had trouble with.

Sturgeon was 1 try for me but Stringfish took about 30 bait and 30 random fish. When that HD rumble kicks in though and you know you got a rare fish is nicccce

Also I only got 17k points for my house but that was still an A rank? Maybe because I've only paid off the first upgrade?

I accidentally buried 55,000 bells into a money tree hole because I was unaware of the limit, but immediately afterward my Nook miles ticket took me to an island that had 6 money rocks and a bunch of supplies that immediately made up for it.

I've seen people with trees that give 99,900, so I just buried that same amount myself. Mistake?

I used bait for my first stringfish, but it only took like 30 ish. Then a couple days later I just happened upon another one in a pond. At the time I thought "clifftop" just meant the spot right above the waterfall, so I had no idea I was about to catch one.

Also I've gotten three golden trouts just by aimlessly fishing here and there.

huh apparently you can grow money trees past 10k..... BUT, they are not guaranteed beyond 10k to give back what you put it.

So you can, seemingly, put in 99k and get 3x99k trees... but it also might turn into a simple 3x10k tree and you're eating a 69k loss (99k cost for 30k gain). The odds aren't really known or anything, maybe it is 50/50 which would mean you're best off gambling big and averaging bigger gains... but if it's not a 50/50 chance then who knows, or even if the chance changes depending on how much over 10k you buried.

... It's interesting to say the least. Hrmmm...

Probably too late to mention but you can only grow money trees if you bury money in a glowing gold spot. If you just go planting money then that's not going to do anything. Does the game even let you do that actually?

after you bury the money on a glowing spot, you can dig it back up as a nursery money tree

I basically bring it back to a location and have a circle of 4 trees so I dont lose track. grab the money from the oldest tree, chop it down, plant the nursery

So... I'm not exactly well-versed with the turnips. Got 117 this morning and it changed to 147 just now. I bought it for 92, so is that a good price to just take the guaranteed payout or is it pretty likely that the price will wind up higher?

It could go higher or it could not. It's guaranteed other people will have higher, but just a matter of it you can manage to get in one of those towns to sell.

I believe someone in this topic had a day where their turnips were selling for over 400 so it's a bit of a risk. 147 might be the highest price you can sell for the rest of the week or it could be the lowest.

Luckily you can sell turnips on other people's island so other people in this topic will probably mention if their turnips are selling for crazy amounts.

i've heard the typical range is 40-150 so 147 is pretty good for the typical turnip prices. there's a decent chance you won't see higher on your own personal island this week.

but it can highroll RNG to over 400 . if you're willing to visit a board 8er that gets a highroll that's probably the best bet.
