Plus some people have smaller veins or deeper veins so they think theyre missing when they just gotta go deeper. that said IV Therapy pokes people all day and they make it look easy. But considering he now has more whitecells than normal the likelihood is more of them are available to overreact and kill the epithelial cells of the lungs, am I right? by virtue of having more white cells than normal, is my dad doomed to have a severe reaction to the virus once he catches it as he will have more cells available to overreact to the infection? And once you have the severe reaction, what determines how likely you are to survive? Infected cells yes, but thats the bodies way of preventing the spread. I do know that Covid makes you susceptible to pneumonia and pneumonia in any other case doesnt cause the immune system to attack the body. Its also note worthy that there are a lot of immune system cells, and cytokines and white blood cells (leukocytes) are not the same. This is because acetaminophen releases a hormone in your brain that binds to certain receptors in your brain to block them from feeling pain. Thats how acetaminophen works as a pain killer; this is called analgesia (Ann-all-jeez-ee-ah. It doesnt sound like anal I promise lol). The same receptors that those hormones block, are the ones that get attacked by infections thus causing your body temperature to rise (fever). So when theyre blocked, they cant get attacked. ibuprofen works differently, it reduces inflammation in your muscle, and other tissue. So for things that cause swelling, like pulled muscles or sprains, ibuprofen works better at treating the problem. With hospitals being full, medical supplies being in a deficit, clinics closing, etc: If you suspect you have COVID-19 call your Doctors office and ask what the best thing for you to do is. Most likely the best thing to do is stay home, but it depends on the person, depending on your medical history you might need treatment. But for most people its best to isolate yourself (even if/especially if youre sick). Your body is capable of fighting of the virus, the big problem is, it compromises your immune system, making you more susceptible to other germs and bacteria, thats the part thats killing people. If you are sick, dont further expose yourself to germs that can do more damage. Stay home, take Tylenol for the fever, call your Dr. and ask if theres more you should do.
