People are starting to get signed and the new league year is still scheduled to start on time, figured we could talk about Tannehill getting overpaid and the 31 teams other than the Patriots that Brady is definitely going to.

Ryan Tannehill makes more than Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles. Both AFC South teams will immensely regret their decisions.

Titans will so regret the tannehill deal based on what we've seen. This could be the new fitzpatrick cycle

Well, the main difference is that Tannehill has at least gotten his team to the playoffs in both places he's been, unlike Fitzpatrick. We like to joke about Fitzmagic, but Tannehill is a better QB. He's been a good QB. His main issue has been staying healthy.

And they might regret it, but I don't know what their better options were (get the Brady talk out of here). This is the going rate for a good QB now if you actually believe he's good, and I'm guessing they paid him this much because there was at least one other team out there willing to make him a similar offer. So their options were to probably overpay Tannehill, take their chances on a rookie QB in the draft, go back to Mariota (zero chance), or hope to find a serviceable QB in free agency. As someone who lived through the Vince Young, Jake Locker, and Marcus Mariota years, getting a good QB on a rookie contract isn't as easy as everyone makes it sound...!

that being said Vince and Mariota both led the Titans to the playoffs once too so this could have been a fluke for Tannehill too

they were just in a really weird bind

Heard that brady wanted to go to the niners, niners passed.

Not sure how accurate that is but I had heard it being a rumor before time as well that he was wanting to go there, so interesting

Chris Simms literally has Kyle Shanahan's name tattooed on his body so I believe any info he relays about the Niners

Yeah, all of this is fair. It is true that if you don't overpay, someone will.

Also Austin Hooper getting PAID by Browns.

So does this, if we assume that Mayfield escapes his sophomore slump

This makes too much sense for Bill O'Brien to ever consider. No chance in hell.

god fucking dammit. This is the worst 'athlete leaving town' that I've ever been through.

Send him to the Bucs so I can get myself a sweet Tampa Brady jersey, and then bring Winston up here so Bill can knock that INT total in half and salvage this. Brady is past his prime and it's not outside the realm of possibility that a good replacement would fair at least the same as last season.

This is the only solace I can take in the news. fuck
