One or two weeks. Was waiting for someone to room with but I'm sick of their "I can't give you a date" excuse. Fuck these spiders and centipedes and fuck the 2 AM laundry loads. That said, I'm waiting on a new position to open up at my workplace and I'm one of the longest tenured and more successful people there. In CA (bay area) there are people who make over 100k who live in their cars, because rent is so expensive it doesn't make sense, even at that income level, to waste it on renting an apartment. $3000 a month towards rent, when you make $100k is still a large portion of your total income. After taxes (and many have student loans as well), your talkiig about 60k or so (between state and fed), and if you have student loans it's less then 50k left. Spent 6 months living with my sister, then 2 years in shared housing, a few more months with a cousin while I tried to find somewhere else away from the landlady from hell, and finally got an apartment of my own 10 years ago.
