Pretty good episodes, I was very pleased.

I think this is the last run, isn't it?

Two episodes down of the final ten.

Need to watch this episode ASAP. Guess it came out after the episode, but looks like people are not happy about something the crewniverse said about it.

Oh yes, I saw that good news and it wasnt addressed in episode. They implied they didnt have enough time to fit it because the recently aired episode In Dreams will be the last Peridot focused one so they may as well just confirm it. Its a blow to the shippers to be sure, but its always been pretty clear in show that Peridot was asexual, to me and people like that at least. But the shippers have to love Bismuth Casual because I was screaming. I never knew I wanted it so much.

Like 50% of my SU love is due to Lapidot TBQH <_<

I can just ignore it, that's what fanfiction's for I guess. It's the most popular ship, so not like I'm left wanting, lol.

Just because Peridot is confirmed ace doesnt mean that Lapis and Peridot cant still have a relationship, per say. Ace people still have relationships. But it does mean theyll likely never fuse unfortunately.

Yeah, I'm not saying I think it's a bad thing in the overall scheme or anything, but it's just a bit depressing because that has been my #1 most anticipated event for this series for, like...3 years. Every episode, no matter how good, was a stepping stone for the episode in which Lapis and Peridot fused. Just pretty let down that it won't happen.

In fact, I came in late, and the pairing is why I got into SU in the first place!

Totally understandable, I know what you mean. Theres a lot well never get to see that I wanted for a long time also. Sad to see it go. I guess well never see the gems all pair off.

I don't really see it. If she was asexual then the concept of fusion wouldn't have flustered her so much and she wouldn't have entertained the idea of fusing with Garnet at all. She seemed very shy about it.

It does appear to be a storyboarder. There's been no follow up.

People are posting a photo from a 2017 RB book of Peridot not being interested in fusing as "proof", though I do take issue with the idea that fusion is inherently meant to be a sexual or romantic act.

I have a feeling that not all minds on the team are in the same boat on this, but I also don't think that they would be willing to make a statement to roll it back now that the can of worms has been opened, either. Even if she's not canonically ace, there's no way they're going to come out and say that now. The blowback would be ridiculous.

Ah then its probably crap. Just like how the last Peridot storyboarder was confirming Lapidot and all that jazz. If anything it seemed like they were building her up to overcome her anxiety about fusing and finding someone she was comfortable doing so with.

I am in love with the character arc Steven's going through right now! It's setting up a really powerful story and I was getting teary-eyed at the end of Growing Pains. I love how it's being used to show how caring and supportive his friends and family are, if he just lets them in.

Also they dropped some mad probability and biology vocabulary in those episodes lol

Spinel is still fun. Her Sonic shenanigans were great. Now hopefully she will show up in the later parts of the finale (this time with things finally getting through to her).

Oh wow I totally missed that an episode was released, just watched it thanks to this topic.

Loved to see the development from the Diamonds! I thought White's community service would be more impressive, but it's funny that she still seems out-of-touch with regular society. And Spinel was certainly a welcome sight!

It feels so weird that this is the end. Ive been a fan of the show since they released the pilot online. I know that everything has to end eventually but I still want to see more of Steven story

Since they worded it as "Steven Universe Future's story is over" I could see them coming back to it or doing a spinoff at some point. Who knows?
