'bout time

I chuckled at Raven Lunatic.

Lots of space to romp around in since I ran past a bunch of stuff to get on with the story near Octagonia and Dundrasil. My next session or two will probably be a bunch of exploring and grinding, getting acquainted with my new comrades.

Oh, Jade can Puff-Puff in battle and it costs 0 MP and it's "a life-changing offensive" and the animation is...wow, ok yeah

Anyway, spent a good while making my best effort to optimally craft and equip everyone, since I have two new party members and I'd never done anything with Sylvando yet. Spent skill points for everyone and did some forging.

Found it funny that my horse is seemingly immune to the toxic pools around the ruins.

Got told explicitly by an NPC that I need the "magic key" to get into the ruins. Good to know.

Need to find some platinum ore to forge better armor.

Exploring in the ship now before charging headfirst into the next objective

time for a major content patch.

I met a mermaid and then made swift progress toward the village where kai was supposed to be, got told I better not deal with any mermaids if I care about keeping my soul, ok then.

I realized I might wanna put points into stat boosts for Erik given how often I use his steal ability. He's now extra deft. I just figured that one was more relevant by the fact the skills had a hand symbol. Lol if it's agility based.

Starting to mix and match the party more to spice things up.

Can Kai come out to play?

No, he's out fighting a giant squid right now.

A fitting final blow

I find myself enjoying party talk more and more. This one just laying it out there.

Ok, so the mermaid queen told us it was the World Tree's will that brought us to her. Alright. And we first needed to see a mermaid become human to dissolve herself in water. Shew, what a ride.

There's a story entitled 'I Love to Hate You: A Schoolyard Tale'. Daniel takes it from the shelf and has a closer look...

'Standing in the unkempt field behind the school, the wind playing with the crimson scarf wrapped tightly around her neck and tousling her auburn hair, Emily's eyes burned with barely concealed rage.

'Finally, Matilda appeared. The two girls locked eyes. The stalk of an unripe cherry poked from the corner of Matilda's mouth. "You took your time, Emily!" Her voice was harsh, almost screaming.

'Matilda grinned her wicked grin and spat the cherry pip high into the air, where it soared in a lazy arc.

Was very glad to spend gold for pearls at the academy. I'd recently splurged on new weapons so it was good timing for me to go ahead and upgrade them.

I read all the books. Did lots of forging. Party talk. Stopped at a campsite on the road to eerie eyrie or whatever it's called

I'm pretty pleased with this situation at camp with the shiny enemy vehicles

So, this place

MAGIC KEY woot! Time romp all around the globe again.

The Other Side is weird, and oddly long. I was in no mood to trifle, so I galloped by everything except items on my swift trip through.

That whole arc with the town and the mural had some...symbolism, there was definitely symbolism.

Time to *sail the seas* in search of the great ORBS of legend.

I got the orb that was behind the magic door in the ruins, which took, ya know, two minutes. Then found my way to Sniflheim. I just finished restoring it, and the queen, etc., then saved as soon as I had control again. Found a new pastword, didn't investigate yet. The witch boss could actually deal damage, I noticed.

Something tells me the Queen has a rough time sleeping
