It's basically there is this beam in the basement that might be a structural issue. The inspector and other people keep saying "it will probably be okay" but nobody can give me a definitive asnwer or get anybody out to look at it to quote repairs or anything. A structural engineer will sign a document attesting to its integrity (or not).
