Yep. It's not like my relatives have unique names and I'm not that picky.

It wouldn't bother me. What would be weird is if I dated someone with the same name as I have.

Not really. I dont call my mom by her name. Itd be weirder if they had my siblings name tbh. But my siblings and I have common names so I cant be too picky

Only way id have that issue is if I dated a co worker. We call each other by last names and its frowned upon to call anyone by their first name.

Weirdly enough, I wouldn't have that problem with co-workers. We also call each other by last names, though I don't think it's frowned on to use first names as some people do regularly. But I'm actually pretty good at remembering fulls names (and guessing, at one point). I just never learned his first name until that one day. Haha.

I shared an art studio with a woman in college who was always talking about her personal life a bit more than what I cared to hear. She told us how glad she was that her boyfriend and husband had the same name. That way if she messed up it didn't matter.

At most we go by first initial and last name but thats for paper work. Only time full name gets used is on write ups. Which defeats thr whole purpose. The last name thing is meant to keep inmates from knowing our full names
