I don't follow anything fighting game related much less SF, but this is still somehow all over my timeline.

It's insane to think we'd be at a point where everything Capcom is killing it except it's floundering pimple of a fighting game division.

I'm not sure whether Street Fighter 6 can't get here fast enough or if I'm not ready for them to mess that one up too

There's some confusion over a tweet Ono made that suggested the actual fix isn't until next week, I guess until we know for sure on that front we can't pass final judgement. But if this really is all they did, I think we can call this the final nail in the coffin for any good will people still held toward Capcom in the fighting game scene.

The mod supposedly had problems with play between users and non-users of it (of which all console players are the latter). But this puts it back to the situation pre-mod, which the community must have been dissatisfied with for a mod to have been needed in the first place.

there was a further update to the mod that didn't eff with ps4 players wasn't there

it's capcom's/ono's complete inability to communicate with the fanbase. they promised "tweaks" to the netcode last week and got people's hopes up for no reason lmao

since last night people have looked at the net code and they did, in fact, make improvements. If Ive read their findings right, it doesnt work quite the same way the fan patches do, and probably should get some more work done on it, but the initial conclusion people came to that they changed nothing else is definitely false.

I remember when Ulti got really into fighting games and he was super optimistic and happy in the topic. It took like 2 weeks before he was claiming that UMVC3 was one of the worst games ever made and all of the developers should be made infertile or whatever he does.

His inferiority complex does not translate well to online competitive games (see Hearthstone topic)

I'm hesitant to make a comment because I don't want this to be a bashing topic and I don't want to contribute to it. But I remember me and him played in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom and I ended up doing a 100% kill combo on one of his guys. He proceeded to making comments about how he has a life and has a job, the anti ertyu if you will, to learn combos and play a bad game after the match

I don't understand being so passive aggressively shitty and trying to belittle me when you're the one that challenged one of b8s top FGC guys
