If you were to replace Sonic with any random original character, it would still be the same movie. Like, I watched the movie almost week ago....and I'm still disturbed by what she represented. It just seemed so random. So out of place. So unnecessary. What it says about how society views men and how many movies rely on the bashing of husbands/boyfriends for comedic value. Her character was essentially just there to be a bitch. To constantly try to convince her sister to divorce her husband....with absolutely ZERO justification. If he was an abusive, neglectful jerk.....and was always lying to her, etc....I could understand. But there was no evidence of that happening. He was a genuinely nice guy! And he worked a second job wile she was going to school to support her. Because he loved her so much. He's a cop! He cares about his town. He loves his wife. What exactly isn't to like about the guy??? But his sister-in-law would always try to convince her sister to divorce him. She even spells it out, "D-I-V-O-R-C-E." like it's some kind of empowering chant or something. And this was before the lies on TV about him when he kinda had to go on the run. WTF? It just bothered me how she viewed him with such venom for no good reason. Didn't seem necessary at all. --- Offensive (according to GameFaqs): sexually explicit, gory, or other obscene content.
