and picked the ones I thought would be most relevant to CE til I ran out of poll options. Combined Marvel properties and DC properties under their prospective options, so it includes Marvel Comics and the MCU and what not. Same as DC Comics and the DCEU and shows and whatnot

btw Cars is the 18th largest media franchise, beating out One Piece in 19th. Cars has earned over $19 Billion in Merchandise sales.

My strongest emotional attachment is to Star Wars. Some of my earliest memories come from Star Wars and it's been a consistent staple in my life. Some of the music still gives me goosebumps and the feels.

Pokemon dominated my life when it came out so I guess that for nostalgia. Otherwise I can't say I hold any emotional attachments

Lightly Star Wars (before Mario 2), into Mario (before Dragonball Z), into Dragonball.

But I'm not really a massive fanboy of any of those major franchises. I'm more of a cult hits kinda person, but I came into this topic wanting to pick Final Fantasy or Square as my biggest franchise. (Square is like Pixar I guess)

Transformers

I started watching the original G1 show at age 2 in 1985. Got Ultra Magnus as my first TF toy for my 3rd birthday. I'm 36 now, I own over 800 figures, several vhs and dvds including upwards of 5 copies of the original movie. I have other memorabilia as well.

I've been a member of the Bottalk message board since 2000, and since 2006 I've been making digital recolors of the toys which you can see on my DeviantArt page (see sig). Hasbro even took inspiration from my G2 Stunticons bash for their official release in 2015.

James Bond I guess. It's the last of my beloved big franchises/series/etc. that I still have a tiny bit of hope for, but I know in my heart it will be ruined like the others.

Bond is fighting a losing battle against changing trends and worldviews. He can't be a womanizer because that objectifies women. He can't be a playboy and a gambler because that's fun and EON wants gritty. They can't make grittiness succeed film after film because the underlining appeal of Bond is that he's a fun womanizing playboy.

It goes without saying.

Probably Star Wars, even if its just the first three movies and the Disney stuff. I've no interest in the extended franchise. And even still, its mostly the childhood nostalgia.
