What trick, mindset, conversation/topic, etc. puts you to sleep the fastest when you're in bed?

If I'm having trouble going to sleep, I'll usually try to trick my brain into thinking I'm rocking/swinging and that's usually good enough to put me to sleep

Insomnia and trouble sleeping is a terrible thing. But there are a few habits you can do to help out.
1) Don't drink coffee/caffeine after 12
2) Go to bed semi consistently (A two hour window max, consistently every night. It hurts you sleep schedule if you go to bed at 9 one night, midnight the next night, 8 pm the night night. The smaller the gap the better)
3) If you are on the computer download f.lux to adjust the computer's blue light
4) Read a book for 10-30 minutes before bed to get your mind off of other things

Get a real nice buzz going and just close my eyes and imagine having some crazy amount of money. Every time itd be something new, $164 million, $462 million, $614 million.... something wild and would just imagine everything Id do with it and it would always knock me out. Start going into details about the cars and houses and clothes and shoes and jewelry and shit and it knocks me out.

One thing that usually works for me is mentally giving an in-depth explanation of something (e.g. some concept I use at work, how to play a video game, etc.) to an imaginary person who knows nothing about it. It's interesting enough that I don't get annoyed like I would with counting sheep, but dry enough that I find myself dozing off before I can get too deep into it.

we're not saying it doesn't work but some benefit and that's good for em. would try other things that do work.

we don't have issues falling asleep. we just crawl into bed and doze off after a period of time.

we try to get up at that time. early to rise before the other pokemon go players make rounds.
have to take over gyms after a fellow fan got fed up and decided to knock out my full heart metagross while i was stuck lagging in battle league.

If Im struggling to sleep, I force myself to get up and do something else (usually read a book) for 15-20 minutes.

in terms of pre-sleep tips, no caffeine after lunch and no snacking after dinner has worked well for me
