SwayM 02/12/20 10:13:29 PM #1:	Roar. Cant move for 3 seconds. Oh the monster sometimes roars 3 times in a row. Monster jumps beer you. Tremors. Lose control of your character for 3 seconds. Monster attacks you, stun. Lose control of your character for 6 seconds. Monster has a sleep attack. Literally walk your character around for 8 seconds until he falls asleep, and then youre asleep until either the monster attacks you (maybe kills you) or you wait forever to wake up. Animations are so lengthy and the monsters just keep getting faster. Long combo weapons are damn frustrating. Or just sheathing your weapon can be a huge pain in the ass. Monster hits you with a poison attack. Die to then tick damage before you can even put your weapon away. Theoretically you can build immunity to most of these problems but who wants to do that? Earplugs are about the only thing I feel building towards because roars are the most annoying and common thing monsters do. Until Nightshade Paolumu I'm not sure I ever fell asleep in MHW, but slotting in sleep immunity to fight that is super easy and then trivializes the fight. Yeah you can build for them, but odds are youre not going to because youre trying to build for damage and you cant slot in all the things you want for a damage build let alone have shit left over for comfort. Earplugs though are a pain. The skill has no business being 5 large slots at all. I usually don't have an issue rolling the roars despite not building for bigger evade windows. Then again I've put many hours into 4U, a little bit into generations, and quite a bit into MHW as well so I'm pretty experienced. I pretty much only run DPS skills and I can roll through roars with good frequency as long as I'm not on something HBG.
