Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr Imperium edition is on sale on Xbox. Was $80 but you can pick it up for $24 for the next two days. I was thrilled to see it when I happened across it tonight. Thought I'd share in case anyone else who was interested had missed it.

I don't do the table top stuff but I love the setting and am always interested in more video games in that universe. This one plays similar to Diablo.

I have a Space Marine army.

Haven't played in like 15 years, though. Got sucker'd in young, blew a bunch of money on an army I didn't even want (wanted to play Fantasy, but all my friends wanted to do 40K; got into Space Marines b/c the friend that introduced us was trying to sell his figures and then from there got tanks and dreadnoughts and shit)

I think it was 4th edition back then?

I liked it well enough, but the games were pretty time consuming and the cost just kept going up every year for buying stuff. And the official events can go fuck right off with their "have to show it on the model" rule for optional stuff (like special grenades and such).

Honestly the best part of Warhammer was the lore and stories, and how interesting the various alien races were. Probably would stick to Warhammer books and video games from now on.

And that's what I really enjoy. I'm happy to stick the video games and other animated media, of which I seriously wish there more.

It's one of my favourite franchises in terms of media and what not, though the recent lore updates (Necrons and Primaris Marines) have been kinda dumb and I don't think anyone wanted them.

I dont play the tabletop but I love the novels/lore ever since the old 90's Space Hulk game on the pc. Played the latest Space Hulk and the PSP game, even tried the lackluster mobile games.

I just finished the tutorial stages. Really enjoying the game. I'm glad it wasn't turn based.

I haven't played the tabletop in over several years but I really enjoyed the lore and stories in the codex. I still have a lot of Tyranid figures in the boxes and frames needing to be cut, assembled, and painted. I'll get to it one of these days.....

Spider Baker just went 6-0 with a GREY KNIGHTS list... that's insane

How big of an event is Beachhead Brawl Major? At the time of the new codex release I was tempted to try out Grey Knights when their stats seem overpowered, especially the Nemesis Dreadknight. At the same time I assume their high point costs also mean it wasn't a simple "Mass Carrier = instant win" mindset.

I've never been into 40k, but I've flirted around the edges of the Fantasy setting's lore, ever since I bought the HeroQuest board game back in the 80s. I've got a couple books from the RPG, and a couple of novels.
