I just beat Gary's punk ass and I got Rock Climb and access to Mount Silver

My current dilemma is wasting Rock Climb on one of my current boys or bringing back my old HM Whore, a dumb ass Steelix, into the fray

Buuuuut, theres a few things that are left undone

My jack ass Loser bitch made Rival said he was gonna go into the Dragon's Den. I probably should see how that goes

and I'm considering re-roaming the earth to find all of the Rock Climb locations again

I know I can probably look up a list, but ...theres an ulterior motive to doing it that way

I haven't found a god damn single shiny and I really want one :(

another pain in the ass complaint I had is that the leveling is all screwy. I beat the E4 at around early lvl 40s

I know I'm almost 30 levels behind on beating Red

I have beaten every Trainer and Wild Pokmon I've come across

Did me leveling them evenly put me behind?

I've been told I can rematch Gym leaders but uh, nobody in the game told me that shit

I'm also probably gonna rematch the Elite 4 before actually diving into Mt Silver

I don't really like Non-linear games and Non-linear game qualities

I don't like having to remember locations and areas where I have to come back once I gained a new ability or item

there's like no way you actually went through 8000 wild battles.

And yes usually I'm not even level 60 with anyone by the time I only have Red left to fight. The levels are kept atrociously low throughout the main game. Why Kanto trainers have levels far below the elite four is beyond me.

you have to find each gym leader during the one day/hour/whatever they leave their gym to get their phone number, then call them at another specific time to set up the rematch

What made me obsessed about rock climb is that one of them is a shiny stone and I wanted it to evolve my togepi. I ended up winning one from a bug contest post johto. It drove me nuts i couldn't have togekiss for the elite 4

There's some NPC dialogue to help hint at most of them IIRC, but good luck stumbling across all of it and figuring out the ones that aren't necessarily clear. It's a pretty dumb system.

By randomly coming across one of the gym leaders out of their gyms.

Does the bike increase the encounter rate? That's why I think I've done thousands of battles. Every 2 steps a zubat.

I think you're thinking of classic GSC here, because in HGSS most trainers have Pokmon in their 40s at least, it just never really goes beyond that unfortunately.

You can also take the SS Aqua again and fight trainers on there for added EXP.

Skarmory can show up south of the 8th gym, but it's pretty rare. The distribution of new Pokemon was real shit in 2nd gen, so many of the cool new things like Larvitar, Skarmory, Houndour are either super late, super rare, only appear in one single area you have little reason to spend time in, or some combination of the above.

Using the Super Rod you get on Route 12 after you get to Lavender Town. Pretty sure he's only a 1% catch though
