It's going to be KH3, FFXIII, and FFXV all over again. People are so damned hyped going in, and then it's just going to be 'meh'. It's going to be typical Square Enix BS of the past decade.

isn't kh3's main issue the worlds/plot? aka stuff that nomura can't fuck with too much since ff7 is already established

It will only be disappointing for people who have built up way too high expectations. As someone with a passing interest in playing it, mostly because its been at least 15 years since I played FF7, it would have to be really bad to disapoint me. Everything in the trailers so far tells me that they seem to understand what they're doing here.

I am a bit worried about how it'll feel compared to KHIII and FFXV, because I think those games play like total butt.
But as someone who actively is uninterested in the original FFVII, this game at least LOOKS like it'll be pretty cool. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Kh3 was fine in theory it was just disgustingly easy. If ff7r doesn't fall into that trap I think it will be fine
