A few random activities Ive thought of but Ive only done a couple (Ski/Raft). Wouldnt mind doing others though! Except maybe Skydive >_>

Curious what other board 8ers have done

I've been caving and skiing. Not great with heights, so I don't really have any interest in stuff that requires me to be high up off the ground.

I've only done rock climbing thus far. I'll be skiing for the first time this March, though! I can't wait.

I'd be open to most of these, but I've accepted that I'll never be able to skydive.

I've rock climbed at an REI store in Seattle, but never out in the wild. It was fine. I've hiked through Red Rock Canyon in Nevada, and that involved a lot of navigating around rocks, climbing and jumping to find the best pathways. It's interesting in that every time we did it, we never ended up following the exact same trail. One time coming back down we got really side tracked and almost got into a spot of trouble (I surprised myself with some of the risky maneuvers I took that time).

Haven't paraglided but I've parasailed, and that was pretty fun. I've also done the thing where you're in an innertube being pulled by a boat, also fun.

Skied once, didn't like. Also went innertubing down the mountain a number of times as a kid, but lugging the tube around to go back up was more effort than it was worth lol.

Went river rafting once, and it's what I voted for. Was a really fun time.

Snowboarding, skiing (cross-country and downhill), rafting, and rock-climbing, but only indoor.

Snowboarding is my favourite. When I was in uni I had a season pass for our local mountain and would go multiple times a month.

Surfing > caving > rafting > snowboarding > rock climbing > jetskiing

Not really interested in skydiving but paragliding would be fun. Scuba diving also sounds fun but that's a lot of preparation I'm told.

Waterskiing and bouldering are also really fun

Blimey, I've never done anything.

Almost went scuba diving during a cruise shore excursion, but we had bad weather and wound up cancelling our stop at that port.

rock > ski > surf

I generally don't like water related things but surfing seems to have such a large learning curve that it doesn't seem like a fun thing to try just a few times. The air related ones sound like the way to go.

Paragliding and rafting were a lot of fun - slight edge to paragliding. I've done snow skiing and jet skiing, but not a huge fan of either.

I went caving in elementary school and that's when I found out I'm claustrophobic. That sucked

I also have fear of heights and can't swim which crosses off just about everything here. I would like to try snowboarding though

I can't swim either, but rafting is still pretty safe even if you can't!

Some of these are largely done on one's own, almost exclusively, which will probably have greater appeal to some for the poll's purposes, due to the sense of freedom.

I've personally done most of these without guide/tour group setting (aside from sky diving, which was tandem), and free scuba diving was easily my favorite. I could spend all day doing that.

Rock Climbing, Jetskiing, Paragliding, Skydiving, Skiing/Snowboarding, Rafting, Scuba Diving

All good to some extent. Skiing sucked for a while until I got the hang of it. Rafting probably my least favourite. Jetskiing was good but a little aimless. Paragliding was amazing though I felt nauseous afterwards.

Skydiving was great and I recommend it, probably my favourite

More than I expected of myself looking at the list! I've been snowboarding, rafting and scuba diving. The latter two were super cool and I'd love to do them again, but I was ass at snowboarding.

Also I've seen The Descent so you couldn't pay me to go caving lol

I've also been skiing and well... it wasn't a good experience. (at least I didn't get hurt unlike someone else I went with)

Tourist caves aren't really what is meant by "caving" in general.

Spelunking is another word for it.

Ive gone skiing, snowboarding didnt really seem like my thing but I never really felt like transitioning just because it most likely had a higher learning curve and I wanted to impress and teach my wife

it was kinda weird that over ten years later I still kinda remembered what to do but hey, now to go to mountains that are actually good
