You should probably start with doing like one day a week as vegetarian. That way you can ease into it.

This is the biggest thing. Your body won't enjoy you changing your diet overnight.

Cut down on meat first. Have meat free days without going full veggie.

Thanks all. Good point about not doing it all at once. Maybe start off every other day and avoid red meat/pork.

Any particular dishes that fill you while staying low on calories?

Ill have to check out those black bean burgers.

Another thing. Proper spices can make or break a veggie dish.
Invest in some spices to keep on hand. Things like thyme, oregano, cumin, etc

Stirfry a bunch of veggies over a bed of rice is always an easy dish. Look into spaghetti squash to replace standard spaghetti noodles.

If you like mushrooms they make it a lot easier. Since they have that meaty texture.

If you stop eating meat, but you still want to feel full, you will need to up your carbs. Plenty of pasta and rice dishes are fine without meat and still leave you full and satisfied. Burritos are really filling and good without any meat.
Try some alternatives, Soy or if you are living in the States try Beyond Meat as a substitute. Just try not to eat it everyday, like you probably do with meat. See at as a thing you eat once or twice a week.

Might get you in the habit of doing it with meat as well, once you go back to eating it.

I've never really had much of a problem not eating meat when I don't want to so I can't help much in that regard, but I can share my current favorite no-meat recipe, autumn medley. Couple pounds of sweet potato, couple of green apples, and a big fat red onion. Cut them all up into smallish chunks, toss with a couple of tablespoons of olive oil to coat. Keep tossing and add in 2 or 3 teaspoons of dried basil, sage, and rosemary, 1 teaspoon of salt, and a little pepper to taste. Dump it all into a casserole dish and put tofu Italian sausage on top. Bake at 400 for 25 minutes, take it out and pull the sausages off real quick, give the mix a good stir, put sausages back on top with the side of the sausages that was facing down before facing up. Bake for another 20 minutes. Cut sausages into medallions and enjoy.

It's actually really easy to go veggie, I dunno why people make a big deal about it. I feel like most people only eat meat once a day so just eat some beans instead

Eat lots of beans and milk. Most of the good stuff you get from meat you can get in milk.

Eat more beans, lentils, eggs.

But really, if you don't want to start making new dishes, maybe post what your usual meals are and see if people here can recommend what to switch out/switch in

that's tough to do a whole month, definitely take it easy and have a few cheat meals a week

pasta is always easy, same as stir fry and because you can sub in a bunch of vegetables, meat subsitutes and cheese

paneer curry, tofu (deep fried) stir fry and tomato and aubergine pasta bake are easy to go's

You guys are the best. That autumn medley sounds dope as hell.

I think for most meals I can substitute out the meat or not include it all. Where Ill have trouble is when Im lazy and just cook a bunch of chicken breast to meal prep for a week, not really sure how to substitute that out.

Also I love mushrooms. If you got some good portobello mushroom recipes, lemme at em.

Pick up a plant based protein powder if you aren't planning on eating many nuts, seeds, and beans for your protein needs. I'd avoid soy and instead use hemp, pumpkin seed, milk thistle and/or pea.

You can supplement that way for workouts and meal replacements or pairs.

Take a portobello mushroom cap and fill it with sauce and cheese like a pizza, then bake it. Or cauliflower mushroom risotto.
