However the vampire was an awkward inexperienced virgin who didn't drink enough of her blood before feeding her his. As a result she was taken to a hospital who managed to give her a blood transfusion and save her life. This unfinished half siring led to her not dying, not being a vampire or gaining vampire powers/weaknesses but did lead to her never being able to age.
