Its hard to beat PBF for humor, but I think Scoob & Shag is pretty amazing. Its on Webtoon, though, so its hard to save individual strips (I literally had to Print Screen to save these two images below), and its a continual story starting at strip 17, changing genre from absurdist humor to gruesome horror, and changes genre again around the 40s to shounen action. All the while the writing and draughtsmanship gradually improves. from this...

...to this.

PBF still the funniest comic by a mile though.

She says your the only one that understands me. They are books. Cliff notes abbreviate the main points of a book so he really didn't know her is how I took it he took a short cut.

@Choco
Cliff Notes are basically passages that highlight all the important plot beats and tidbits in books.

Since they're book-people, the reason why he understands her so well is because he read the cliff notes about her, rather than just genuinely knowing her.

It would be like if you somehow got a hold of a girl's diary and used the information inside to get closer to her, then she discovers it on you one day.

There was a comic that was basically PBF but from some Korean artist. I love these but I don't really know how to find them nowadays (korean PBF leads to forum threads with mostly broken links)
One of them:

Gamefaqs made it tiny, try this link

Also DrMcNinja is still one of my favorite webcomics (not that I've read a lot of them) and it's very humorous

ah yes, it does helps.
the comic is a play on the term "stiff breeze". so it's more than a juvenile joke about "lol the cloud having an erection".

The comic itself isn't on the level of PBF, but a while back I found a comic named Camp Weedonwantcha about a derelict summer camp where deadbeat parents abandon their kids.

The kids all have pretty messed up backstories, like a guy obsessed with being in charge and blowing a whistle because it belonged to his dad who was disappointed that he didn't want to play football, and when he got kicked out of home, he snagged his dad's whistle after getting shoved out onto the street. Even though he was treated badly and kicked out of home, he still loves his dad and that whistle means the world to him because it's all he has left of his dad.

It made the rounds on the internet 12-13 years ago, I think someone on here mentioned it or somewhere else that I used to go.

Also to mention another funny comic, Oglaf is usually quite good
