I'd be safer if I didn't tell anybody, but I'd also be far less efficient, since I'd have to go to people and then also touch them somehow, which could be hard.

That's honestly probably the safest way to do it. Or even better, play it up as a mystical power, warn them that doing anything to harm me will result in a curse falling upon their family line for all time, and then cure the cancer to prove enough that they won't test the rest.

Considering you'd be putting a massive target on your back it'd be pretty foolish to tell people. Cancer is 100 billion dollar industry, even if you didn't die from an 'accident' at the very least you'd be made a lab rat.

Nah. Sure, you'd affect some big company's revenue stream. But you wouldn't make them disappear. There would only be so many people you could see. Plus, people would be much more likely to try to find a way to turn a profit on your existence than to go straight in at assassination attempts.

No. Telling people would be the dumbest thing you could possibly do. Pharma and it's investors would be coming after you because you're "stealing" billions of $$$ from them. Religious nuts would be coming after you calling you a demon or the Anti Christ and that your power is nothing more then deception.

The Government would either straight up eliminate you, or find some way to control/exploit you.
