That is one big reaction, plus the claim that they remember with uncanny certainty what someone's message was from 6 years ago. This was after denying it but now they know everything about it. To go from denying it, to watching that user return, and then to close the entire topic after that user posted in it. Is this really fair to the regulars and the rest of them, first of all, secondly why is this happening after midnight on such short notice and only after that guy posted. Was this really an administrative decision? Third, I think the user should get an apology, as well as the regulars because they don't know him, it isn't their fault he showed up to back up my previous claims and got the mod reaction that we just saw. They might have to shift everything just because of this 1 guy they don't know, all of the sudden at the stroke of midnight when mods personally get tired that the topic exists. That's arbitrary behavior. Last I checked, the terms did not change tonight and this series has gone on for a while. Last I checked, if a user is abusing a feature the user gets the moderation, not an entire topic, not an entire board. You know what I think? I think if the mod had to prove that the user in question was abusing the feature, they wouldn't be able to. Because it should be a simple matter to prove, but if they can't go through the correct system checks to do that, it's probably not provable and not happening. That, or they don't feel like elevating it to admin for whatever reason, even though it's suddenly lights out for this series without elevating to admin. That's arbitrary behavior.
